Lash Extension Aftercare

Lash extension aftercare starts the moment you leave: keep your lashes dry and away from steam, makeup, and workouts for the first 24 hours. After that, wash and brush them daily, never put oil near them, and book a fill every 2 to 3 weeks.

What should you avoid for the first 24 hours?

  • Water, showers, and hot, steamy rooms
  • Eye cream, lotion, and makeup around the eyes
  • Workouts that make you sweat, such as hiking, swimming, or cardio
  • Facials

How do you care for lash extensions every day?

  • Wash your lashes daily with an oil-free cleanser, then brush them with a clean spoolie.
  • No oil, ever, on or near your lashes. Oil breaks down the glue.
  • Skip waterproof makeup and lash curlers.
  • Keep cotton pads and cotton balls away from the lash line.
  • Do not pull or play with your extensions. Let them come out on their own.

How should you sleep with lash extensions?

Sleep on your back when you can, so your lashes do not press into the pillow. A silk or satin pillowcase helps too.

How long do lash extensions last?

With good care, a set looks full for 2 to 3 weeks. Your natural lashes shed a few at a time, and each extension falls out with its lash, so a fill every 2 to 3 weeks keeps the set full. For an event or a trip, a mini fill booked 7 to 10 days after your last lash appointment freshens the set.
